About
Nano4-Deckwooden® is a water-based nanotechnology product and it is completely environmentally friendly.
After applying the product and upon completion of the curing process (24 hours), a thin layer of SiO2 (silicon dioxide) seals the protected area. Nano4-Deckwooden® offers invisible protection against all dirt particles, as well as from sea salt, sunlight, moisture, moss and grass.
Surfaces coated with Nano4-Deckwooden® are also highly resistant to stress. The product does not contain silicone or any other harmful chemicals.
Nano4-Deckwooden® does not affect the look, feel or breathability of the surface.
Nano4-Deckwooden® can substitute water in waterborne paints.

a) According to DIN ISO11507, (artificial weathering with fluorescent UV lamps according to method A for different coatings on sandstone) by Polymer Service GmbH Institute.
b) According to DIN EN 12390 8 2009 (concrete depth of penetration of water under pressure) by A.P.E.B.
c) According to DIN EN 110545-14:1998 (determination of resistance to stains) by Tecnalia Institute Spain, Nano4-Deckwooden® also increases the durability of the materials treated with the product.

Application Method
Surface preparation:

Before using the product, clean the surface very well in any traditional method and rinse with water.
Methods:

For optimal results, surfaces should be sprayed at least twice (wet-to-wet; it is imperative to spray the second hand before the first one has dried), depending on the absorbency of the surface you wish to protect. The process may need to be repeated.
Industrial Application:

For economic use, you can use an HVLP spray gun.
Other Application Techniques:

In addition to spraying, you may protect the surface with Nano4-Deckwooden® using a brush, a paint roller or by immersing the item in the product. Results may vary based on the application method.

After coating with Nano4-Deckwooden®, the surface takes 24 to 48 hours (at 20ºC) to be fully cured. The time required for curing may vary depending on ambient temperatures.

Duration of Protection:
Protection can last up to 8 years, provided that the application of Nano4-Deckwooden®, conforms with the instructions.
Consumption:
The quantity of the product per use depends on the application method and the surface porosity. In any event, the consumption will be between 30ml/m² and 200ml/m². This means that 1 litre can cover surfaces ranging from 5m² to 33m². An easy test to determine the amount of product required is to spray 1m² of the surface with plain water. The quantity of the water needed defines the exact consumption.
