About
Nano4-MotorbikeJacket® is a new, water-based, ultra-hydrophobic coating, nanotechnology product. After applying the product and upon completion of the curing process (24 hours), a thin 500 nm layer of SiO2 (silicon dioxide) seals the treated area. Humidity, water, coffee, ketchup, wine, coffee, oil, syrup, sauces and other hot or cold liquids are easily removed from leather, when protected with Nano4-MotorbikeJacket®. By simply dabbing with an absorbent cloth, the wet spots vanish and your motorbike jacket is restored to its original state.
PRODUCT’S UNIQUE ATTRIBUTES:
Nano4-MotorbikeJacket® is a fluorine-free, water-based, spray-on product with dirt, water and oil-repellent effects. Due to its extremely easy application method, it can be conveniently used by both individual consumers and professionals.
Listed in the global joint roadmap of Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC), the product can be safely sprayed on your motorbike jacket without any restriction or special consideration.
Nano4-MotorbikeJacket® offers outstanding protection and long-lasting coverage for your motorbike jacket, especially the smooth types. Excellent protective results can be achieved as long as the leather surface is free of active chemical substances (silicone/surfactants). It delivers supreme protection and nourishment, particularly on smooth leather.
Enjoy waterproof and dirtproof effect on your precious jackets and simply wipe out any stain on them. Keep away humidity, coffee, food stains (ketchup, syrup, oil, sauce) and all liquids.

Drop ultra-hydrophobic contact angle of the surface is 160°.

It has been classified as an ECOLOGY product by Hohenstein Textile Testing lnstitute GmbH & Co. KG and can be used to produce optimised human-ecology textiles, as per the specifications of the Oeko-Tex@ Standard 100, product classes l- lV.

Application Method

The product can be affected if left for long periods of inactivity (e.g. creaming, sedimentation, separation). Stir or shake well before use.

Clean thoroughly the leather and dry before applying the product; leather must be free of anionic, surfactant residues. Silicones or surfactants impair performance and adhesion.

Spray the surface with Nano4-MotorbikeJacket® and ensure even distribution over the surface. If the substrate cannot instantly absorb the liquid, e.g. smooth leather, it should be rubbed in gentle polishing motions. After applying Nano4-MotorbikeJacket®, it takes 24 hours (at 20º c) for the surface to be fully cured.

The treatment of the targeted surface should be done under ambient conditions. Use only on surfaces at room temperature (between 10º C and 40º C). The time required for curing may vary based on ambient temperatures, as this is the time the nanomaterials bond or cure to the surface, giving you ultra-repellent surfaces (between 10º C and 40º C). Duration of Protection:
Τhe protection lasts for five (5) years at normal use/abrasion, provided that the application of Nano4-MotorbikeJacket® conforms with the instructions.
Consumption:
The quantity of the product per use depends on the application method and the surface porosity. In any event, the consumption will be between 30ml/m² and 200ml/m². This means that 1 litre can cover surfaces ranging from 5m² to 33m². An easy test to determine the amount of product required is to spray 1m² of the surface with plain water. The quantity of the water needed defines the exact consumption.
